Movie Review: Snow White and the Huntsman
It’s movie review day here at Glitter, Bliss, and Perfect Chaos. Today we’re seeing the movie, Snow White and the Huntsman.
Here’s the trailer:
The Verdict:

The Verdict: School is out for the summer, so I saw this movie with my daughter, her boyfriend, and her friend, Allison. We all seemed to have differing opinions on this movie, except for one part. The ENDING SUCKED!! Come on! It’s supposed to be an adaptation of a fairytale, right? What happens at the end of all fairytales? They kiss, a little heart forms around their heads, and the movie fades to credits. Happily Ever After.
What we all liked about the movie: 1. Charlize Theron did an amazing job playing the evil step mother. It was very cool to watch her age then go back to perfect stunning beauty. 2. The special effects from a digital animation perspective were very cool. From a very detailed troll, to creative ways to work magic, to a fairies’ nirvana, all really amazing. 3. How bout a shout out for Kristen Stewart, who finally got to play a character with some fire in her britches. She leads the fight to take back her rightful throne. Love seeing her kick a little ass. Although, really, the Huntsman did save her many times. 4. And the Huntsman, played by the dreamy Chris Hemsworth. The Huntsman went through a full range of emotions in this movie, and Chris nailed them all. Although there were many times I wanted to pick him up out of the movie and dip him in the river to clean him up a bit, he was sexy as ever. Dirty, cleaned up, drunk, whatever. We’ll have some. What we didn’t like about the movie: 1. The ending. Like it ended up okay, but the actual last scene was really a letdown. Hated the acting/emotions and hated the ending. 2. It seemed a tad lengthy in the middle. 3. How things work geographically in this far, far away land were a bit confusing. After endless wandering in the dark and scary forest, we went from green gorgeousness to snow covered in like the snap of a finger. And then when we attacked the castle to win back the throne, it was just a short horse-ride. 4. Something to do with a horse and large white deer. (Let’s just say, we don’t like when animals get hurt.) 5. Did I mention the end?? Even with a little drag in the middle and the final scene not what we expected, our reviews ranged from three to four stars. So even though this should have been a Happily Ever After kind of movie, we’re not in agreement as to whether it was just a Hookup or if we should start Stalking it. Either way, it’s worth seeing. Even if it’s just for this:
Just a reminder of how we rank movies here at Glitter, Bliss, and Perfect Chaos:
One Star = Walk of shame. I was in last night’s dress, carrying my shoes as I rushed off. I can’t believe I wasted my time on him and pray no one I know sees me.
Two Stars = Bad date. He didn’t really do anything wrong, we just didn’t have any chemistry. Maybe he just wasn’t my type. I probably won’t answer if he calls.
Three Stars =Hookup. We had a great night together. Don’t know if it will be more than that, but it was sure fun while it lasted.
Four Stars = Stalking him. What a night! We danced, we kissed. Now if I could just get him to call me.
Five Stars = Happily ever after. I love him! I want to marry him, have his babies, and live happily ever after.
It’s a Johnny Depp Movie. If you appreciate him, go see the movie.

MANday – Military Men
In honor of Memorial Day, we’re sharing a previous Military Men post from last October. It’s my pleasure to also tell you that the man who inspired this post is back home with Lexi. I want to wish you all a happy Memorial Day. Be sure to take a moment to say a prayer for all the men and women keeping our country safe, and for the family’s of those that haven’t made it home.
It’s MANday here at Glitter, Bliss, and Perfect Chaos, where we tirelessly research for photos of hot shirtless men ALL WEEK, to make your Mondays suck a little less.
The idea for today’s MANday came from my twitter friend, Lexi. She was telling me on twitter that her man just left for Afghanistan. Our prayers go out for his safety during his time there. He’s due back home just in time for her 21st birthday!!
Also wanted to give a big thank you to all the men and women bravely serving our country. May God keep you safe in all you do.

Movie Review: Men in Black 3
It’s movie review day here at Glitter, Bliss, and Perfect Chaos. Today we’re seeing the movie, Men in Black 3.
Here’s the trailer:

The third installment of Men in Black is finally here, and it’s a keeper! If this movie was a guy, your bff would be nudging your elbow telling you not to let him get away. The first movie in the series was funny and the pairing of the straight-laced Tommy Lee Jones as J with never serious agent J (Will Smith) was comedic genius. Combine that with aliens, cool guns, and a ticking clock to save the planet from destruction, and you have a great movie. The second movie was fun, but it felt like it got away from the characters and focused more on the aliens. This third movie takes you back to the good old days. It’s character driven as Agent J must go back in time to save K’s life. And oh my gosh, Josh Brolin plays a young K. His acting was seriously brilliant. He had every movement, tone of voice, and facial expression of Tommy Lee Jones. You really thought you were seeing a younger version of K. Actors often take on roles of portraying a real life person. They immerse themselves in their world and try to become them on-screen. That’s difficult, but none of them ever have to play the part in the same movie with the original person. It was impressive.
I don’t want to give away the ending, but it surprisingly makes you want to cry. And it ends the trilogy perfectly.
I fell crazy in love with him the first time we met. He was funny, adventurous, and, well, brave. I forget exactly why we broke up. No, that’s a lie. I remember it vividly. We had just gotten seated at a fantastic restaurant when his phone rang. I gave him my evil eye and practically dared him to answer it. “It’s work, baby,” he said, charming me with that goofy lopsided grin of his. I listened to his side of the conversation and swore I could have heard someone on the other end say something about saving the world. I also noticed the voice was a woman’s.
“I’ve gotta go. I’m sorry.”
“If you go, we’re through.”
He left me sitting there at the table alone.
The second time we dated, I knew it would never work. He was still way into his career, but did get the feeling he wasn’t enjoying it as much. Probably because it had taken over his life. But that’s just my opinion.
Yesterday, I saw him. It had been a while, but he still looked good. Handsome. Sexy. Muscular. Same goofy grin that made me fall for him. He can still make me laugh. And I couldn’t help it. There was something different about him this time. He seemed like the chip on his shoulder was gone, and he was ready to finally commit. Don’t they say, the third time’s the charm?
“What do you say?” he asked me. “You up for a happily ever after?”
Of course, I said yes.
The Verdict: Just a reminder of how we rank movies here at Glitter, Bliss, and Perfect Chaos:
One Star = Walk of shame. I was in last night’s dress, carrying my shoes as I rushed off. I can’t believe I wasted my time on him and pray no one I know sees me.
